Electrical Engineer - Chemical Plant

Location:

Jurong Island, Singapore (Company Transport Provided)

Salary:

S$3,500 - S$4,500/month (commensurate with experience)

Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop the electrical equipment replacement schedule Perform root cause analyses for complex equipment failures and prepare detailed reports Recommend and implement equipment modifications to enhance performance and safety Oversee scheduled maintenance and respond to urgent electrical issues Develop and refine SOPs to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards across all electrical systems Manage preventive maintenance, including annual substation shutdowns Troubleshoot electrical issues, manage inventory, and support risk assessments Supervise contractors, negotiate service proposals, and monitor project execution Manage project budgets and optimize raw material expenditure Evaluate vendor contracts and conduct performance audits Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in a chemical plant environment Strong understanding of chemical processes and ESH regulations Proficient in computer applications and data analysis Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills Self-disciplined, resourceful, and strategic in planning
