Key Responsibilities
Lead new equipment installations, modifications, and commissioning activities.
Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance (PM) of plant mechanical systems.
Manage Engineering Change Request (ECR) reduction and closure.
Develop and implement workplace safety and health (WSH) programs and protocols.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
Create and maintain internal engineering standards.
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and safety training.
Provide technical presentations and updates to management and co-workers.
Supervise and coach junior engineers/technicians while remaining hands-on.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 3 years of relevant experience), or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 5 years of relevant experience).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to read P&ID drawings.
Strong knowledge of mechanical materials, applications, and motorized equipment servicing.
Hands-on experience in equipment installation, modifications, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Good written and spoken English with strong communication and presentation skills.
Leadership, negotiation, and collaboration abilities.
Independent, resourceful, safety-minded, and motivated problem-solver.
Preferred Skills
High-pressure equipment certification.
Experience in chemical or process plant operations.
MNC background with exposure to structured engineering practices.
Proven ability to develop engineering standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
