Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Electrical Inspector to ensure compliance with Singapore electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations. The ideal candidate will conduct inspections of electrical installations in the power-plant building stage, ensuring the electrical works performed are met contractual and legislation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes. Review electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications to verify proper installation. Identify and document code violations, safety hazards, and needed corrections. Issue inspection reports, detailing findings and necessary corrective actions. Work closely with contractors, electricians, and property owners to ensure compliance. Perform follow-up inspections to confirm corrective actions have been completed. Stay up to date with electrical codes, regulations, and industry advancements. Provide guidance and technical support regarding electrical safety and compliance. Investigate electrical complaints, accidents, and hazardous conditions. Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare reports as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Advance Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. Valid Electrical Inspector certification (e.g., ICC, IAEI, NFPA, or state/ Singapore local certification). Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical inspection, electrical installation, or a related field. Thorough knowledge of Singapore local electrical codes. Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Proficiency in using inspection tools, electrical testing devices, and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working on SP Group projects or Powerplant construction inspections in Singapore. Experience with permit processing and reporting systems. ATEX or IECEx cert or LEW qualification. Additional certifications in electrical safety or related fields. EMA Regulatory-Transmission Code

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including construction sites. May require to work overtime * Occasional exposure to electrical hazards and construction-related conditions.
