Job Description

Job Purpose

The Electrical Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing all electrical engineering activities for M&E EPC and EPCM projects. This includes design review, tender evaluation, construction support, and quality assurance of all electrical systems. The role ensures that project requirements are met in compliance with technical standards, client specifications, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Tender Stage

Review electrical tender drawings, specifications, and documents prepared by electrical designers. Review and approve electrical shop drawings submitted by contractors/vendors. Attend and participate in tender interviews, providing technical input and clarifications related to electrical scope. Provide value engineering proposals and cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or compliance. Support bid evaluation and recommendation for electrical works.

Construction Stage

Attend site meetings to represent electrical discipline matters. Conduct on-site inspections and ensure electrical installations comply with approved design, codes, and standards. Review and approve material submittals and method statements related to electrical works. Monitor construction progress, resolve site issues, and ensure timely delivery of electrical scope. Coordinate with civil, mechanical, ACMV, and other trades to resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure all electrical works comply with local authority regulations, codes, and safety requirements. Support QA/QC team in inspection and testing of electrical installations. Participate in audits, inspections, and commissioning activities.

Project Management & Coordination

Lead and mentor electrical engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors. Ensure project documentation (drawings, reports, as-built records) is accurate and up to date. Provide technical advice and support to project teams and management. Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on all electrical-related matters.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certification preferred. Minimum

8-12 years

of experience in electrical engineering within M&E, EPC, or EPCM industries. Strong knowledge of electrical systems (LV, MV, HV), power distribution, ELV systems, and related codes/standards. Proven track record in design review, site supervision, and project execution. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients. Mobility - As when needed

Key Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering and construction. Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams. Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and relevant electrical design software.
