An Electromechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electromechanical equipment and systems. This role combines knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering to ensure machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely. The technician works across industries such as manufacturing, robotics, HVAC systems, automation, and industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electromechanical equipment, machinery, and systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of machines.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other technicians to optimize system performance.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Document maintenance activities, repair logs, and part replacements.
Recommend upgrades or improvements to equipment for efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:
Education and Qualifications:
Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., PLC programming, industrial automation, mechanical maintenance) are a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Familiarity with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer skills for logging maintenance records and using diagnostic software.
