Job Description

An Electronics Test Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and validating electronic components, circuits, and systems to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. The role involves working with testing equipment, performing inspections, and documenting results. This position is common in manufacturing, R&D, telecommunications, aerospace, and consumer electronics industries.





Key Responsibilities:





Perform functional, performance, and quality testing of electronic assemblies, boards, and systems.





Use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.





Troubleshoot and identify faulty components or circuit issues.





Document test procedures, results, and any anomalies.





Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate measurements.





Follow established protocols and safety procedures during testing.





Assist engineers in developing test plans, procedures, and improvements.





Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues.

Requirements:





Education and Qualifications:





Associate degree, diploma, or certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.





Knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and systems.







Skills and Competencies:





Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, etc.).





Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical manuals.





Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.





Attention to detail and precision in measurements.





Basic soldering and circuit assembly skills (preferred).





Computer literacy for recording results and using test software.
