Role Summary

As Emergency Preparedness Supervisor, you will be part of the company\'s emergency response team and will assist the Fire Chief and Site Incident Controller during emergencies. You are responsible and accountable as the Fire Safety Manager of the designated site, and additionally, you will be a part of the Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) 10.1 Network.

What you will do

  • Provide operational support to major project groups in emergency response advice and support for approval of project Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) and Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
  • Coordinate with the appointed Business Team and Business Unit for the annual Singapore Civil Defence Force Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) audit.
  • Review and ensure Breathing Apparatus (BA) equipment readiness for Turnarounds.
  • Review the Management of Change (MOC) involving changes to firefighting equipment, fire protection systems, and fire safety within the facility.
  • Ensure timely servicing and testing of all firefighting equipment, fire protection systems and emergency siren systems in the plant, to the predetermined schedule.
  • Responsible for all firefighting appliances and firefighting equipment are maintained in operationally readiness condition at all times.
  • Support Business Units and Business Teams in conducting the annual firewater pump full performance tests.
  • Responsible for EP&S section of the Fire Protection Survey.
  • Support EP&S in office building fire and evacuation drills.
  • Liaise with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) for High Risk Installation (HRI) emergency response scenario planning and drills.
  • Review and update of Tank and Bund Fire Plans.
  • Update the site Emergency Response Manual and SCDF Emergency Response Plan.
  • Plan and conduct Site Wide Drills with the various Business Teams / Business Units.
  • Responsible for the safety and ensure company policies are adhered to by the Fire Crew under his control.
  • Conduct Command Center Staff and Crisis Management Team member trainings for new managers.
  • Conduct emergency response briefing for Shift Superintendent and Emergency Communicators.
  • Maintain the overall firefighting training plan and training curriculum for the Fire Crew, new hires, Wardens, Emergency Response (ER) personnel, and Designated Emergency Response Team (DERT) members and conducts the required training.
  • Overall responsible for the readiness and upkeep of the Command Center and Fire House.
About you

Skills and Qualifications
  • Possess minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience in the oil and gas industry or regulatory board.
  • A Bachelor Degree holder from a recognized university will be an advantage
  • Possess valid Fire Safety Manager qualification or equivalent.
  • Possess valid class 3 driving license.
  • Previous working experience as a supervisor or group leader.
  • Possess prior firefighting experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
