We are currently recruiting for an Employer Relationships Lead, SANO to join to the team on full-time, permanent basis. This role sits within our Relationships team in Singapore. The role leads on employer relationships for Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Oceania. The role leads and co-ordinates a team of Business Development Managers based in Singapore and Australia in the development and execution of sales strategies, employer engagement strategies and growth plans.

The Job Reporting to the Portfolio Head, SANO, this role:

  • Leads the creation and execution of the plan for the development of employer relationships in order to deliver agreed KPIs and targets and support the delivery of ACCA's strategy
  • Leads the identification and implementation of key opportunities with approved employers and other industry partners (technology partners, smart finance, SkillsFuture Singapore etc)
  • Aligned to growth expectations and ACCA strategy, determines which employers should be prioritised both within the market and across borders
  • Owns, monitors and drives the achievement of key performance indicators and targets for the SANO employer relationships team.
  • Personally lead a number of key employer relationships, ensuring these are appropriately developed to deliver and exceed agreed KPIs and targets
  • Ensures that multi-level relationship plans are in place for existing and potential employer partners
  • Leads the SANO employer relations team to ensure that global solutions and content are leveraged and consistently implemented
  • Leads the development of the SANO employer team to identify and communicate insights to help improve global value propositions and optimise growth opportunities
  • Works with colleagues from other functional teams (member, learning, policy & insights, public affairs, brands and marketing, etc.) to make high value connections between partners and build the ACCA ecosystem across SANO
  • Ensures employers are supported with ACCA processes including accreditation in order to develop engagement and improve performance
  • Represents ACCA at appropriate local and regional forums to raise the profile and brand impact of ACCA within the profession
  • Leads and inspires the SANO employer team by role modelling the ACCA behaviours, sharing expertise and best practice, building engagement and supporting performance and development
  • Reports regularly on progress through the appropriate reporting mechanisms on agreed targets linked to the balanced scorecard.


The Person
  • Significant experience in business development and business-to-business selling, ideally in a professional services or education environment
  • Commercial mindset, business development frameworks, processes and techniques
  • Understanding of accountancy and/or the professional education environment
  • Ability to lead and inspire a community of business development employees
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build long term, high quality, trusted relationships up to and including board level
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent networker and prospector at all levels
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with the ability to plan and organise work to meet stretching targets
  • Commercially orientated and results driven with a track record of successful delivery and an ability to identify new opportunities.
