The effects of climate change and the global drive towards energy transition and sustainability initiatives have brought Environmental, Social and Governance (\xe2\x80\x98ESG\xe2\x80\x99) issues to the fore. Increasingly, businesses are beginning to embrace this new consensus and Surbana Jurong seeks to continually explore bold and innovative ways to meet the future needs of industrial developers/businesses, anchored on sustainability and economic development. This position is to support SJ Energy & Industrial division\'s specialised parks, business parks, and smart industrial parks consultancy services. Successful applicants will be part of a multi-disciplinary team with global coverage, helping our clients create future-ready industrial parks that meet sustainability and economic development goals.

Roles:

• Conduct market research through collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative information from internal and external sources, such as researching and assessing and qualifying key market trends, technology enablers, and outlook in Energy Transition and Decarbonisation (\xe2\x80\x9cET/DC\xe2\x80\x9d) space.
• Interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon research finding. Convert data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports; ownership of one or more Knowledge Management Toolkit(s).
• Provide advice and analysis of key market and regulatory and policy developments impacting industrial sector developments (such as clean energy/fuels) in the region, including major projects, potential partners and competitor activities.
• Originate business development leads and build good network and contact with Energy Transition and Decarbonization stakeholders locally and internationally.
• Provide research and data on energy transition and financing topics and connect the key insights in reports, company benchmarking and opinion pieces.
• Maintain and freshen information source through subscription of industry information, data, insights, publications.
• Lead and collaborate with team members on research production, report writing and writing communications (presentations, articles, opinion pieces etc.).
• High-level evaluation of the commercial and financial feasibility of prospects / projects.
• Assist to manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation and inputs from various disciplines.
• Assist to generate new leads, identify and contact decision makers, screen potential business opportunities and facilitate pitches/sharings.

Preferred Characteristics, Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degrees in engineering, sustainability, economics, business, design, sustainability, industrial planning, or economics
• Past experience in ET/DC or net zero consultancy or industrial parks transformation or smart parks management, will be an advantage
• Knowledge of multiple energy resource simulation and and optimisation tools will be an advantage
• Demonstrate critical thinking skill, growth mindset, positive attitude, teamwork, analytical, good communication skill, and generally agreeable and supportive
• Resourceful and able to work independently and responsibly.
• Strong self-motivation and work ethic, flexible and thrives under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to connect to potentials partners/ clients.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and language abilities (English and business Mandarin); not afraid to present to and engage senior corporate executives
• Willingness to travel and spend a few weeks on business travel
• Able to multitask and work under tight deadlines, and flexible to adapting to changes
• Attention to detail, good speed of response, and able to deliver on quality as well as quantity of work
