Job Description


Engineer, IT Field Support

The ideal candidate should have a passion for technology and strong experience working with the following:

End User Computing

  • Manage and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, BYOD devices such as tablets and mobile phones (Microsoft Intune).
  • A good understanding of PC hardware maintenance such as RAM, Hard Disk, CPU, Power Supply, etc.
  • Video conferencing tools and other related equipment such as webcams, speakers, printers, scanners, and copiers.
Network Infrastructure
  • Possess working knowledge of servers, network printing, network infrastructure (switches, routers, wi-fi access points and network cabling).
Software
  • Handle software installations, Active Directory, M365, Ms Teams, Office 2016, Windows 10, Tanium, Trellix, Service Now.
Cyber Security
  • A good understanding of cyber security and the application of controls to protect the IT systems.
  • Basic working knowledge of End Point Detection and Response solution.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Set up and maintain desktop computers and laptops.
  • Install and update software and operating systems across the network.
  • Provide technical support for all IT-related issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with the Group IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Document and maintain records of IT support requests and resolutions.
  • Perform regular Windows patches and AV definitions.
  • User account management and password resets (Windows Active Directory).
  • Set up and maintain tablets used in the production plant.
  • Set up and manage email accounts and services.
  • Maintain user accessories and printers.
  • PC hardening to CIS Benchmark Level 2.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or higher in IT or related field.
  • At least 2 years experience as an IT Support Engineer in a medium or large MNC.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, TCP/IP, and routing protocols.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work on-call for occasional after-hours support.
  • Familiarity with switches, routers, wi-fi access points, and other network equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience in setting up and maintaining BYOD devices.
  • Experienced in Service Now.
  • ITIL Certification is a plus.
  • A good customer service attitude.
  • Basic scripting is a plus.
  • Working location at Paya Lebar
