What the role is:The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore. The HTxAI Products team is committed to empower our Home Team Department (HTD)\'s flagship projects through the seamless integration of AI technologies. From identifying opportunities to delivery, launch, and continuous enhancement, HTxAI aims to push boundaries and setting new standards in homeland security. This is a hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of a Scrum Master and a Business Analyst. The Scrum Master / Business Analyst will facilitate product development undertaken by agile product development teams, ensuring coherence with Scrum principles and practices while leveraging on business analysis skills to assist the Product Manager with gathering and analysing user needs, identify problem statements, and ideation of solutions. This role is crucial in fostering collaboration within product teams to drive the delivery of high-quality products that meet business objectives. The hybrid nature of this role demands strong communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities, as well as a deep understanding of agile methodologies and digital product development processes. This individual must balance the demands of both roles effectively to drive successful product outcomes.What you will be working on:

• Provide guidance and coaching to the development team on agile principles, practices, and processes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with product managers to understand the product backlog and ensuring that it is ready for sprints. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyse and document user needs and work with the Product Manager to translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria. \xe2\x80\xa2 Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and support the Product Manager in ensuring alignment between organisational strategy, user needs, and engineering effort. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyse existing business processes, identify pain points and areas for improvement, and communicate solutions to stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate Scrum ceremonies, working with stakeholders to ensure that the delivered product meets business requirements and expectations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues that may impact product delivery or business outcomes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the Product Manager in analysing data to support decision-making, identifying trends, and providing insights for product growth or enhancements. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the Product Manager in preparing and maintaining product documentation, which includes Product Requirements Documentation and User Manuals. \xe2\x80\xa2 Foster collaboration within the product team to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and priorities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Track development progress, measure product team performance, and provide regular reports on development status, velocity, and other relevant metrics. \xe2\x80\xa2 Drive continuous improvement initiatives within products team and the organisation, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and deliver greater value. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the implementation of changes, ensuring that stakeholders are informed, engaged, and prepared for the impact of new features or enhancements. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with the Product Manager to ensure that deliverables meet quality standards, conducting reviews and inspections when required.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields. \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 2 years of experience in product management or a related field. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experienced with using agile development methodologies in delivering digital products. \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiar with AI-driven technologies, particularly in the domains of data science, visual and audio analytics, or sensors & IoT technology. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and align with organisational objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional product teams. \xe2\x80\xa2 Comfortable with working independently to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
