Job Purpose

The Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Maintenance Planning & Support) will be responsible for supporting the Bus Workshop and Bus Operations by providing maintenance and reliability analysis and planning support with an aim to achieve cost effectiveness maintenance, ensuring smooth bus & logistics operations.

Responsibilities

Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Maintenance Planning & Support) duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

• Plan and monitor SMRT Buses preventive maintenance according to bus maker requirement and annual inspections based on statutory requirements.
• Forecast preventive maintenance parts requirement to ensure that parts are available for servicing.
• Perform breakdown analysis and propose if any campaigns/improvement are required.
• Coordinate with Bus Workshop, Procurement and Component Repair department to ensure that downtime of buses is minimal.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports as required by management and Authority.
• Consolidate information from workshop or SAP system on bus breakdown details for submission to Authority.
• Manage in-house Bus Assets and Maintenance Management System (BAMMS) to ensure the accuracy and validity of the system.
• Ensure all standard operation procedures (SOP) and work instructions pertaining to maintenance planning are up to date.
• Review, validate of exiting process and introduce new workflows to improve productivity.
• Ensure compliance of relevant statutory requirements and in-house rules and regulations.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Degree in Engineering in Electrical/Electronic or relevant studies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
• SAP PM module experience preferred

• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Strong in communication and presentation skills.
