Job Description

Job Purpose

To assist the Manager to supervise a team of Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers to respond, investigate, and perform Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance to the monorail system in compliance with the relevant standard procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of Assistant Engineers (AE) and Technical Officers (TO) in performing Preventive Maintenance (PM) & Corrective Maintenance (CM) tasks in compliance with relevant standard procedures and instructions contained in Quality Procedures, Work Specifications, Work Instructions, and any relevant change instructions disseminated.
• Supervise and ensure that PM and CM works are executed in accordance with the established standard procedures/requirements.
• Responsible for the safety of self, and peers at the workplace; off and on trackside throughout the working period.
• Prepare SMM monthly maintenance report.
• Prepare ATW/PTW for Sentosa Monorail systems equipment PM or CM works for clients\' approval
• Ensure plan scheduled PM and CM are performed timely.
• Carry out monitoring, review, and follow-up where appropriate on Monorail systems and equipment performance under his charge.
• Manage and controls maintenance spares.
• Plan the yearly and monthly maintenance schedule for all trains, and depot equipment as well as the night work schedule to meet SDC contract requirements.
• Coordinate with clients (SDC) pertaining to the schedule of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) works, equipment tests, and other ad-hoc jobs.
• Liaise/Coordinate with subcontractors in the servicing and the MOM certification of depot equipment and ensures that works are completed on time and meet SDC requirement.
• Prepare minutes of meetings and attends progress meetings with client (SDC).
• Perform SMM administration works including planning of duty roster, approval of OT, leave, petty cash submission, staff coverage, etc.
• Draft all relevant documents like work instructions, work records, etc.
• Certification of staff (AE/TO) after staff have satisfied all the necessary training requirements.
• Raise PRs and evaluation of the RFQ submission.
• Manage and execute Variation Orders (VOs).
• Perform tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Recognized Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering, with at least two (2) years of relevant working experience in railway maintenance or workshop, or
• Recognized Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering, with at least five (5) years of relevant working experience in railway maintenance or workshop.

Skills

• Good analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Engineering system and design.
• Good understanding of production assembly setup and process.
• Good in preparing monthly reports / technical design knowledge.
