Due to Val-Technik's plan to increase its presence and expand its business, we are looking for an aspiring and driven Engineer. You will be based in Singapore, and will be responsible for all engineering matters in the company. Your role's main focus is to build on the company's engineering knowledge and expertise and to support all engineering matters from responding to technical enquiries and conducting technical trainings/presentations to executing hands-on work (e.g. product assembly etc.) and completing on-site activities. The role also involves project management from time to time. The first task is to quickly get a grasp of the company's existing engineering knowledge, improve on them and make it easily available to the Engineering and Technical Team and other colleagues. Secondarily, you may have to perform certain functions to support the Business Development and Sales Team in their quotations. You are part of the Engineering and Technical Team and will report to the General Manager. What will I do Assume full responsibility of all engineering related activities in the company. You will from time to time reconsolidate existing engineering information (for both product and its applications) in the company. You will acquire new product and application knowledge to build on the company's engineering and expertise. You will ensure product readiness (i.e. Lead efforts in obtaining the required approvals/listings and acquiring sufficient product and its application knowledge) for the Business Development and Sales Team. You shall prepare or reconsolidate Installation, Servicing, Repair and Maintenance (ISRM) Manuals for the company's products and periodically conduct trainings for our technicians using the ISRM as a reference. You shall prepare product assembly manuals and periodically conduct trainings for our technicians using them as references. You will manage vendor options (i.e. to obtain and consolidate information on vendor options and their product prices) for our own product and product assemblies. Accountable for the provision of product drawings (i.e. isometric, orthographic, dimensioning, sectioning, assembly, cross-sectional views etc.) and system schematic drawings. You will from time to time prepare product and application presentations and periodically conduct internal seminars to ensure the engineering proficiency of our Engineering and Technical Team. You will be responsible for managing a system where all these engineering information and knowledge are centralised in the company, easily and readily available to the Engineering and Technical Team and the management. You are to attend any site meetings and activities whenever required. You shall oversee and perform (when required) installation, servicing, repair or maintenance of our products on-site and off-site. You shall also oversee and perform (when required) assembly and testing of products. You will manage the day-to-day customer enquiries, questions and issues. You will provide support for the Business Development and Sales Team for quotations requiring deeper technical knowledge or are of installation, servicing, repair or maintenance nature. You will also work with the Business Development and Sales Team for projects and tenders in understanding and interpreting tender documents (i.e. tender specifications and drawings). You may have to support the Business Development and Sales Team for presentation and meetings that requires deeper technical knowledge. You may be required to contribute ideas and content to the marketing tools of the company (i.e. not restricted to but include the company's website, social media accounts, brochures, leaflets, datasheets and spec sheets). What should I bring Only Singaporeans. A recognised relevant academic degree in engineering. You want to be established as a specialist in your area of engineering while being able to offer your expertise to real engineering needs. You have a desire for a progressive and exciting career. Proactiveness and willingness to learn. Drive with enthusiasm to succeed in task(s). Good communication skills and ability to foster good personal relations. Exhibit a 'team player' mentality and is able to prioritise tasks and think strategically. Fluent in English other languages are assets. Proficient in Solidworks is an asset.
