What you will be working on:As an Engineer / Snr Engineer, Leak Detection, officer is required to lead the team to: 1. Plan and schedule Dynamic Leak Detection programme for the water supply network to ensure all the sub-regions are surveyed for leaks at least once in 6-months or more than once for leak prone areas. 2. Ensure all possible leaks detected during the daily leak detection programme are traced and forwarded to business units for repair. 3. Ensure all the Ad-hoc leaks feedback from business units, Water Service & Operations Centre (WSOC) and public are attended to and traced. 4. Verify leak locations arising from alerts generated by leak detection systems. 5. Compile weekly & monthly reports for dynamic leak detection programme. 6. Plan and call new tenders to engage contractor services for different types of leak detection works and other necessary work. 7. Manage and administer leak detection services contracts, which involve operationalising both routine and emergency leak detection services during and after office hours. 8. Budget and monitor of contracts. 9. Actively explore new and cutting-edge technologies for leak detection and pipeline condition assessment and work with the suppliers for R&D, trials or Proof of Concept (POC) to explore the feasibility and roll-out by PUB. 10. Manage the Leak Detection Unit for effective resources deployment. 11. Liaise with various contractors, business unit officers, site personnel, etc. to ensure smooth daily operations. 12. Conduct training and share on the leak detection programme and the technologies for the staff, visitors and students. 13. Compile and present statistics such as distribution losses, sales and operational usage data. 14. Take on ad-hoc duties as assigned by his supervisors.What we are looking for:Degree in Engineering preferably Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Environmental with the following skills: i. Have a strong foundational background in the application of engineering monitoring systems. ii. Experience in working with construction/mechanical/electrical/instrumentation equipment.
