Job Description


What the role is:
You will be part of the Technical Standards & Safety team to manage the establishment and enhancement of standard operating procedures, guidance materials, technical standards and manuals to meet the dynamic demands of Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems\xe2\x80\x99 operations. This supports the planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining of aeronautical telecommunication facilities, buildings and supporting systems/services to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations.

What you will be working on:

  • Establish and enhance the standard operating procedures, guidance materials, technical standards and manuals of CAAS Aeronautical Telecommunications & Engineering (ATE) Division.
  • Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders in ensuring public and/or airside inspection/review is performed on the engineering operations provisions, project management provisions, and compliance with Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) of ICAO Annexes and other relevant requirements in International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) documents for aeronautical telecommunication facilities
  • Work closely with internal parties and the Regulatory bodies of CAAS in ensuring safe provision of Air Navigation Services (ANS)
  • Work closely with the Singapore Aviation Academy on training program relating to the Air Traffic Safety Electronic Personnel (ATSEP)
  • Carry out activities relating to Safety Management, Safety Risk Assessment and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
  • Willing and able to travel and attend local and/or overseas trainings, seminars, workshops and meetings, when required
  • Perform any other requirements, tasks or related activities not stated but necessary for specified or intended use, where known
What are we looking for:
  • Trained in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the area of regulatory oversight and compliance in aviation industry
  • Good understanding of ICAO Annexes and Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), local regulations and standards
  • Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving license issued by Traffic Police, Singapore Police Force
  • Self-motivated, driven, assertive and analytical
  • Positive work attitude and can work well in a team
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
