At Sephora, we have a hybrid setup of internal and external engineers delivering software products that power our digital initiatives including ecommerce. As the key point of contact, you will manage software engineering delivery by our vendors engaged on a staffing model. With your insights and expertise, you will ensure the external teams are set up for success, manage critical vendor relationships and facilitate external teams to be a productive part of the overall engineering organization. You will be a critical partner to engineering leadership, facilitating the talent and the delivery they need. As part of the SEA Engineering team, you will frequently engage with our engineering leaders, Product UI/UX teams, broader technology leadership, vendor managers and drive seamless delivery.

  • Managing Engineering vendors services
  • Manage engineering vendors for daily support
  • Standardize the process and procedure of engaging external resources in the region
  • Manage SLA compliance (Sourcing, replacement KPIs etc)
  • Manage the relationship with engineering and vendor teams
  • Be the primary escalation point for any issues
  • Managing vendor supplied engineering talent: Design efficient process for talent sourcing, selection and interview process, onboarding, access management and any ad hoc administrative support needed
  • Managing vendor relationship: Key point of contact to manage vendor contracts, onboarding, offboarding, knowledge transfer, knowledge transfer, transition etc.
  • Managing internal stakeholders: You will play a key role in supporting internal engineering leaders and the engineering director, play a supportive role in ensuring the external teams are a key asset to their respective teams
  • Managing vendor budgets: Track budget, ensure transparency and reporting, partner with finance to support phasing, support leadership for future projections and building cases
  • Managing Vendor procurements if and when needed (quotation, RFP, order, contracts, payment), and assist line manager on the budget management
  • Supporting broader engineering team as a leader or as a contributor supporting change management and deployment

  • You are a Team player - This role needs a high degree of collaboration across internal and external teams and your skill sets to work with varied teams will be critical
  • You are Detail-Oriented – This position requires analytical skills and the ability to interpret information from numerous sources to prepare and present reports. For this aspect of the role, being detail-oriented and able to find focused solutions to business problems is useful
  • You have strong Communication Skills that enable you to communicate smoothly with the team, to give clear instructions, and to provide great stakeholder service
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related
  • You have good command of verbal and written English
  • You have experience in software delivery and are familiar with SDLC and agile ways of working
  • You have a solid technical background, are familiar with applications and infrastructure technologies used
  • You have vendor management experience
  • You have demonstrated people management skills
