Hiring: Engineering Specialist (Heat Treatment & Barrel Department)


Location: Jurong / Bedok




Position: Engineering Specialist (Heat Treatment & Barrel Department)


Salary: $2,600 - $3,000 + Allowance


Working Hours (Shift Rotations):




7:00 AM - 3:00 PM




3:00 PM - 11:00 PM




11:00 PM - 7:00 AM


Rest Days: 8 days/month




Company: Singapore-based micro and small ball bearings manufacturer




Key Responsibilities:




Operate heat treatment equipment (e.g., heating furnaces) for processes such as quenching and tempering to ensure product hardness and performance meet specifications




Monitor furnace and related equipment operations, including temperature, atmosphere composition, and cooling rates




Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and abnormalities




Analyze and optimize heat treatment processes to improve cycle time, energy efficiency, and product quality




Collaborate with Quality Assurance to establish and maintain quality standards




Inspect heat-treated parts regularly to ensure compliance with specifications




Provide technical support and problem-solving solutions




Train staff on operational and safety procedures




Plan and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure proper equipment function




Identify and resolve maintenance needs




Document process parameters, production, and quality data




Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments




Analyze defects and recommend corrective actions




Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce costs




Work cross-functionally to improve quality and productivity




Prepare audit documents and assist in audit processes




Adhere to safety regulations and contribute to safety and quality system improvements (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 14001)




Attend meetings and coordinate with supervisors to meet production goals




Manage work schedules effectively and complete assigned tasks promptly




? Requirements:




Relevant technical experience preferred; on-the-job training provided




Able to work rotating shifts




Minimum education: Diploma, NITEC or above




Detail-oriented, proactive, and good team player
