The Engineering & Technical Operations Lead will work as part of the Property & Project Management division, providing technical support and advice to the property management, facilities and project management teams on matters related to building engineering operations.

• Oversee building engineering operations and develop technical standards and guidelines for implementation across all properties and projects under the responsibility of OPS.
• Provide technical and managerial expertise for building engineering activities including compliance with all statutory laws and regulations.
• Provide support to the property and facilities management teams in the management, maintenance and enhancement of building MEP systems, to improve overall building operational efficiency.
• Overview of all building MEP asset maintenance plans and schedules, maintenance activities, power downs and critical engineering work in key building facilities.
• Monitor the condition of the physical property and equipment by conducting periodic reviews and inspections with the respective property management teams.
• Conduct building MEP incident investigations, review investigation findings to identify causes of incidents, propose corrective and preventive measures to address root cause of incident, monitor response and track resolution.
• Overview of building MEP operations risk management and mitigation planning.
• Support the planning for MEP systems upgrade and life cycle replacement, preparation of capital and operating budgets.
• Support the review and negotiation of maintenance contract with vendors.
• Plan, implement and administer smart building programs by establishing targets and objectives, maintenance of records and reporting of performance against targets.
• Support the project management team on matters related to MEP systems design and specification, testing and commissioning.
• Conduct training for technical staff on building engineering related matters to build knowledge and competency.

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in building engineering services operations, with in-depth knowledge of facilities operations.
• Prior experience working in commercial real estate and corporate real estate environments within banking & finance organisations will be beneficial.
• In-depth knowledge in building engineering services and critical assets operations, including mechanical, electrical, building automation, fire protection, plumbing & sanitary, security, vertical transportation systems etc.
• Experience in managing in-house technical teams and external service providers to deliver MEP maintenance and operations services.
• In-depth knowledge of local building engineering codes and guidelines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and confidence to interact with a range of stakeholders to build strong and effective working relationships.
• Self-driven and highly motivated. Able to work independently, be resourceful and possess a keen ability to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or any other relevant building engineering disciplines.
