The Scope You will be part of Esco Aster Engineering team and contribute to the overall site mission and objectives. You are responsible for various equipment in the laboratory and cleanroom which consist of Esco product and external OEM. It involve routine maintenance, calibration, services breakdown, cleanroom certification and fault troubleshooting. This position will involve the startup phase, liaising with various end user and follow up many site activities such as setup of utility connection, qualification IQ/OQ and compliance to operating procedure. Primary work location: Ayer Rajah Crescent and Changi, Singapore Reporting to: Head of Engineering Job Responsibilities . Perform first level troubleshooting and maintenance when on duty or shift. . Provides mechanical support to manufacturing, utility and engineering services on routine and shutdown maintenance work. . Carry out work and job orders relating to routine, preventive and ad-hoc calibration, repair and maintenance of utility and process equipment, instrumentation and electrical installation. . Supervise and monitor of contractors and service maintenance work. . Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring/operation and preventive/ad-hoc repair and maintenance of all utility and manufacturing equipment/systems including the calibration of instrumentation and electrical installation/equipment serving the entire manufacturing facility and the execution of all job orders with 7 days per week and 24 hours a day basis. . Provides E&I support to manufacturing, utility and engineering services during routine and shutdown maintenance work and product switch-over in support of plant operations. . Maintain mechanical and electrical systems to support manufacturing operations. . Carry out improvement projects for plant equipment, system operations and cost savings initiative. . Operate and maintain all utilities systems operating condition and parameters as per SOP or validated and commissioning value i.e. water & waste water system, HVAC system, and process gaseous to support manufacturing operations. . Play a role as on-site emergency response teams and participate actively in training. . Meet site's EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) performance objectives through compliance via EHS rules and competent to approve various safety permits for work. Comply with all EHS requirements, never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace accidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable. . Carry out any other work or task as directed by the Manager or Engineer. Requirements . Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or technical discipline preferable in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or chemical. . Minimum of 3 years' work experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry. . Working experience in laboratory and manufacturing equipment repair and troubleshooting. . Familiar and understand cGMP requirement for routine maintenance and calibration activities such as good documentation practice, work order and calibration certificate. . Familiar with utility and facility systems on operation and maintenance. . Experience with start-up, commissioning and qualification activities will be added advantage . Able to work independently, self-starter, self-motivated and task oriented. . During the start-up phase of the facility, be willing to take on expanded role to set up the team and workflow / processes as well as expanded scope as needed.
