What the role is:The Engineer / Lead Engineer of AI & Digital Solutions Certification will be part of a dynamic team that develops and maintains a framework and process for evaluating and certifying AI and digital solutions. He/she will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance and reliability of AI and digital solutions developed internally or sourced from external vendors, enabling rapid access and seamless deployment of compliant solutions for Home Team use.What you will be working on:

• Establish robust processes for evaluating AI and Digital products. This includes creating assessment frameworks, checklists, and evaluation methodologies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate AI and digital solutions from vendors and internal product development and project teams, and ensure solutions meet operational deployment standards, including data privacy and security regulations \xe2\x80\xa2 Establish and maintain a central repository of certified solutions, including documentation and technical specifications \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging AI and digital technologies, contributing to the development of new certification programs \xe2\x80\xa2 Regularly review and update criteria based on industry advancements and organizational needs

What we are looking for:

• Postgraduate / Tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, information systems or other quantitative/ analytical fields. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven experience in AI and digital solutions development, implementation, and evaluation \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning, and deep learning \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience working with internal stakeholders to identify technical requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in delivering software quality projects and familiarity with industry certification standards for digital products \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), agile project and product management methodologies, AI ethics and responsible AI practices \xe2\x80\xa2 Having domain knowledge in Homeland Security sector will be an added bonus \xe2\x80\xa2 Applicants with more than 5 years\' relevant experience will be considered for more senior positions All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
