The purpose of this role is to work on the application development of wireless charging and battery management ICs and provide technical support to marketing activities:

- Define and perform application validation and testing for wireless charging and battery management ICs
- Support customer design-in, perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of application related issues
- Train and provide device domain knowledge to regional FAEs
- Provide technical knowhow/input for the next generation designs or roadmap
- Support application related needs for Design team R&D efforts
- Support application related needs for product characterisation and product engineering efforts
- Work with Software & Tools team to develop the application GUI and production tools
- Create marketing collaterals: evaluation kits, demo kits, application notes

Profile

Requirements

The candidate must be/have:
- Strong technical expertise in the wireless charging application
- Strong knowledge in analog electronics and battery management
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Highly experienced with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Power supply, Electronic load, Multimeter, etc)
- Good interpersonal skills for effective communication and participation in cross-functional problem-solving teams
- Critical, systematic and inquisitive
- Proactive, self-driven and independent
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and possessing a high level of integrity
- Good command of English for technical documentation and presentation

Additional skills/knowhow below will be added advantage:
- Experience in Application Engineering or R&D, especially from the mobile devices or semiconductor field
- Knowledge in switching DC/DC voltage regulator architectures such as buck, boost, switched capacitor converter
- Knowledge of the IC design and manufacturing flow
- Knowledge in thermal and mechanical domains adjacent to electronics application
- Competency in circuit simulation, EM simulation, PCB design
- Competency in coding/debugging
- Experience in automating equipment
- Experience in reworking SMDs and WLCSPs
