JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: QEHS Report to: QEHS Manager Functional Relationships with: All departments in Murata Electronics Singapore (MES)

POSITION PROFILE

Based in: Singapore (Tuas, but will be required to travel to Yishun plant whenever required); The successful candidate will support all environmental related initiative/program and EHS management system in MES

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support waste management - research potential waste vendors, request quotations, evaluate waste vendors, negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing, make nondisclosure agreements as necessary
• Support compiling of waste data (valuable and non-valuable waste) and make reporting
• Support valuable waste export arrangements
• Support day-to-day waste management including invoice processing
• Support ISO 14001EHS maintenance in company
• Support and drive environmental related initiative/program with 3R/circular mindset
• Support and conduct environmental aspect impact and related training
• Support establishment of EHS management system
• Support external EHS audit and follow up corrective measures
• Support external audit from certification bodies and customers

• Degree in Business, Accounts Management or equivalent
• 2 years of working experience in procurement or waste management
• Able to work well in a team while being independent and pro-active
• Positive attitude in challenging work environment
• Able to multi-task and take stress from fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and vendors
• Strong analytical and research skills to evaluate market trends and find the best prices
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (research, evaluate and liaise with vendors)
• Understanding of supply chain procedures
