Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore's Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.

Mandai Global, an entity that is part of the Group, will establish and operate new lines of business anchored in creating positive outcomes for nature and wildlife.

This role sits within the Environmental Management section of Sustainable Solutions Team. S/he is required to work with contractors, internal teams and government agencies to ensure that development works are done in an environmentally sensitive manner and in line with existing development regulations, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and internal policies.

This role be a contract position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

This will be a predominantly on-site role.

Conduct regular site audits at construction sites to ensure that environmental processes and regulations are adhered to.

Work with the Contractors and their Environmental Managers to manage all environmental issues arising from development works such as public health, pollution control, wildlife and flora protection and management.

Identify potential gaps in the Contractors' current environmental practices and work with Contractors to implement corresponding measures to rectify these gaps.

Prepare audit reports for monthly reporting to management.

Job Requirements:

At least 4 years of relevant experience, with an appreciation for the importance of wildlife and biodiversity is required.

Familiar with current regulations on construction work by regulatory agencies such as. NEA, PUB, NParks.

Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) and/or Workplace Safety Health Officer (WSHO) will be an added advantage.

Experience with the EIA and Environmental Monitoring & Management Plan (EMMP) frameworks will be an added advantage.

Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Possess a good working attitude and is willing to adapt to changing environment.

Self-starter: Keen to initiate and drive implementations that can meet the organisation's goals
