About you

As part of Ramboll, we can offer the opportunity to work in a leading international consultancy on a range of interesting projects in Singapore and internationally, in an inclusive and high-performing environment. The role will be based from our Singapore office, on a full-time basis.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Environmental data collection and interpretation, modelling, impact assessment, monitoring and management for air/noise/ecolocy/water resources
  • Environmental site assessments, inspections, monitoring and performance reviews during pre-construction / site development / construction phase
  • Report writing and preparation of figures, including drafting and/or reviewing Impact Assessment chapters
  • Preparation of environmental Monitoring and Management Plans, and monthly reporting
  • Client and project team liaison
  • Attendance at stakeholder meetings and public consultations

We are looking for someone in the mid-stages of their career who is keen to work on a diversity of projects and in a variety of sectors to enhance environmental performance and sustainability. You will become part of our growing environment and sustainability team, focusing on company compliance impact assessment. This encompasses scoping and planning baseline studies, conducting fieldwork, data analysis, modelling and visual representation of technical data, developing management plans, providing oversight of local teams outside of Singapore to conduct the work, among others. Thematically, we are looking for someone with an existing and / or emergent expertise in the following areas - environmental compliance; sustainability strategy and execution; stakeholder engagement; biodiversity; water, air, noise.

Your starting point for constant growth

From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:
  • Appropriate degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering or a related environmental discipline
  • Master's degree in an environmental discipline (advantageous)
  • Prior EIA project management experience on complex projects in Singapore (advantageous)
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Competent and efficient report writing skills. Ability to work successfully with various sub-consultants in the delivery of a consistent EIA approach and reporting style. Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written. Well organised and able to prioritise their own workload with minimal supervision. Competent in use of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint). Experience using GIS software for figure production would be beneficial.

Minimum requirements:
  • Science or Engineering degree in a related discipline
  • Familiar with the Singapore regulatory regime and international lender standards including IFC Performance Standards, WB Environment and Social Standards, the Equator Principles or other similar frameworks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A willingness to meet with our clients and be an active member of our team developing our EIA offering in the Asia Pacific region.
Experience in climate resilience, sustainability, nature positive concepts and stakeholder engagement would be favorable but is not essential.
