Job Title: Equipment Engineer Reports to: Microarray R&D, HOD Department: Microarray R&D, Thermo Fisher Scientific Location: 7 Gul Circle, Singapore What will you do? Complete new equipment start-up to support R&D activities, from facilities hook-up, tool move-in, acceptance of equipment to performance qualification. Work with vendor on tool development according to equipment capabilities improvement. Participate in product improvement/engineering projects, and responsible for engineering activities. Perform equipment qualification and support process validation for product improvement/engineering projects. Ensure projects to be implemented in line with the schedule and budget. Work with process engineers to optimize new/improved process parameters to further improve product quality and the overall equipment effectiveness. How will you get here? Education

  • Bachelors, masters -degree in mechanical, Electrical, or physics with 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience
Experience
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment assembly, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance or development; experience in resist patterning, process development, industrial R&D or Product Development will be plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience on UV lithography tool like stepper, mask aligner or LDI.
  • Have proven experience in micro/nano fabrication process
  • An understanding of the interactions between process and hardware, and can use this knowledge for troubleshooting and improvement work
  • Working knowledge of diverse optical metrology setups and optical alignment is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and with multi-functional teams from all levels across the organization.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated executer, initiator and agile learner.
General Rules: This R&D Equipment Engineer will support the technology and product development efforts for the Microarray Business Unit in the Genetic Sciences Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position provides a valuable opportunity to get experience in working on photolithography tool and system while interacting with cross-functional groups such as molecular biology, chemistry, software, bioinformatics, and product management. This position will contribute to ongoing systems engineering & architecture activities for next-generation microarray products.
