These include pip Job Responsibilities: The ESI Sales Manager, Asia Pacific is accountable for generating and closing sales opportunities for all Energy Solutions operational and commercial software. These include pipeline hydraulic modeling, leak detection, scheduling, order-to-cash including volumetric accounting and optimization software. Our customers transport and store liquid and gas hydrocarbons and chemicals through pipelines, marine and terminals. The ideal candidate is a tenacious self-starter who can quickly learn the software solutions and sell them. The sales cycle can be from 6 months to 2 years. The position will be based at Emerson Singapore and the territory includes all Asia Pacific except for China and India. This is a professional sales position and requires a consultative selling approach. The candidate is expected to sell to high level executives. The candidate must be able to identify needs and be able to provide solutions to meet these needs. Competencies include: Communicates and makes strong connections with C-and VP-level executives. Listens to customers and define solutions in a consultative manner while selling software and implementation services. The successful candidate must be able to work multiple threads at the same time. Getting results, reaching out to prospects, sometimes through cold calls, building relationships are key to the success. Job Requirements: Degree in Technical or Engineering discipline preferred. MBA is a plus. With 8+ years sales experience in the oil and gas market. Proficient in selling software licenses and implementation services. Proven ability to sell at 'C' and senior management level. Proven ability to work with technical resources and sales management. Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate at all levels within our client's organization. Experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in the logistics and transportation (pipelines and terminals). Familiarity with enterprise software implementation involving multiple departments. Problem solver - in some cases, the software applications address business process/workflow inefficiencies which require good problem-solving skills. Strategic thinker - organized and driven. Ability to identify, develop new opportunities and manage the sale cycle to a successful close. Must travel regularly.
