Summary

This role is responsible for managing all Ethics & Compliance operational activities as well as regional and global projects. Reporting into the E&C Regional Director, you will ensure key goals and objectives of the E&C function are achieved.

Responsibilities:

Implement BD\xe2\x80\x99s global and regional E&C strategies and initiatives, as well as applicable local industry norms, local laws and codes.

Appropriately communicate and provide timely and value-added guidance and advice to all internal stakeholders including local management, sales & marketing teams, etc. on E&C-related matters, throughout all business units.

Manage and support implementation, UAT, training and roll-out of BD\xe2\x80\x99s E&C tools and systems in coordination with the global E&C team.

Managing a range of projects across the region

Organize and conduct local and regional Compliance Committee meetings to give updates on compliance, trainings, quarterly metrics presentations, third-party due diligence reviews, etc.

Ensure the local and regional compliance risks are identified, assessed, and reported, including proper documentation. Lead all regional annual risk assessment projects within BD in coordination with BD\xe2\x80\x99s ERM team.

Keep appraised with local Laws and Codes affecting E&C-related matters and keeping the E&C Director CASAJ informed on a timely basis, as well as potential impact for the organization and agree on needed actions.

Conduct Ethics Office investigations in the region.

Manage all the monitoring and control activities to detect any deviations to BD policies. To document all monitoring work on quarterly metrics reports and follow-up on all findings, remediation, and action plans.

Manage all data analytics and dashboard related activities and provide periodic reports with appropriate action plans.

Manage the Third-Party Compliance Program which consists of third-party due diligence, monitoring, training, and audit.

Lead meetings and discussions with key external parties and stakeholders (distributors, agents, etc.) to align on BD\xe2\x80\x99s expectations. Assist and work closely with Business to achieve common goals.

Manage all E&C related internal and external compliance trainings. Coordinate the CASAJ regional efforts in streamlining training material and sharing of best practices in training.

Provide updates and participate in local and regional leadership and compliance committee meetings.

Partner with Business Leaders and other key stakeholders to promote ethical culture and drive the compliance program and agenda.

Clear understanding and alignment with Regional and Corporate E&C goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

10+ years of experience in implementing and maintaining an effective compliance program in a highly regulated, complex, sales-driven industry.

Experience in a global life sciences industry (medical device or pharmaceutical) is essential.

Hands-on approach in coordinating, investigations and managing projects (Essential)

Fluent in English. Reading / writing / presenting in other regional languages would be advantageous.

Solid knowledge of and experience with healthcare compliance issues, such as the FCPA/anti-corruption and other issues arising in a pharmaceutical or medical device company, privacy and transparency reporting laws is required.

Auditing and investigations experience (essential)

Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience communicating with individuals at various levels and functions within an organization, including senior management.

Solid analytical and conceptual skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to be proactive, exercise independent judgment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong work ethic and ability to produce high quality work under significant deadline pressures.

Unquestionable leadership, professionalism, maturity, strategic thinking, integrity, ethics, and ability to remain firm with these principles under pressure.

People leadership experience would be advantageous

Ability to travel approximately 25% across SEA.
