The Role The successful candidate will be required to successfully juggle all areas of function and event management, ranging from weddings, conferences, corporate events etc. With a Can Do Attitude this role is an amazing opportunity to expand your career while enjoying every minute!

The Successful Candidate

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Fantastic customer service skills, with a willingness to exceed customer’s expectations at all times
  • Maintenance of high levels of communication with management team and kitchen operations with regards to all functions and events
  • BA degree in Hospitality/ Hotel/ Events Management
  • 3 years’ experience in Events Management
  • Advanced computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Well-developed written and verbal presentation skills in English
  • Highly organized, responsible, have a keen eye for detail and aesthetics
  • Good interpersonal skills, including maturity, positive attitude with pleasant personality
  • Excellent time management skills; capacity to prioritize and multi-task
  • Prior business contacts for corporate events is not necessary, but will put you at a distinct advantage
  • Exceptional selling skills and client interaction
  • Management of event/ function staff
  • Involvement in all event sales & marketing efforts including: sales meetings, sales calls, function enquiries and site visits
  • Highly organised, multi-tasker, and meticulous attention to detail ensuring guests' satisfaction
  • Professional demeanour with exceptional literacy and communication skills. High level of grooming standards
  • Restaurant, bar and Event experience, willingness to be hands on and assist in all areas
  • Prioritisation skills and passion for meeting deadlines

Typical Responsibilities Will Include

  • Act as the first point of contact: responds to external queries and requests
  • Coordinate and execute on all stages of events, including conducting site tours, following up with client needs and expectations, producing detailed proposals, event delivery and follow up with clients
  • Research and identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, grow new leads for new clients and events
  • Work in tandem with the internal team and a team of external agencies, vendors and partners to increase sales through events
  • Co-ordinate and assist with production of marketing materials, such as brochures, proposals, social, adverts, posters etc..
  • Perform ad hoc duties when required.
- Be available Monday to Friday from 10am- 8pm
  • The candidate would also be required to assist with minor operational duties during peak periods.
