What the role is
Singapore Environment Institute (SEI) is the training and knowledge division of the National Environment Agency (NEA). It is responsible for delivering in-house technical training and building of environmental knowledge among staff to build a relevant, resourceful and resilient NEA workforce. SEI also supports capability building and Continuing Education and Training (CET) needs within the local environmental services industry through its industry programmes with institutes of higher learning. In addition, the Institute actively participates in capacity building of identified countries via training and workshops catering to selected government officials.
What you will be working on
As an Executive in Centre for Environmental Training (CET) of the Singapore Environment Institute (SEI), you will provide management support for the development and implementation of training activities for NEA workforce. Your main responsibilities include: • To compile training data from various implemented initiatives and prepare presentation materials to support data reporting and learning analytics • To maintain and update course information in Learning Intervention Matrices (LIM) and in-house training catalogue by cross checking information on course offerings from websites of training providers as well as the input of course provider links where required. • To support market research into relevant environmental and sustainability training courses for the curation and development of programmes to plug competency gaps of NEA workforce. • To provide end-to-end training administration operations for programmes (e.g. induction and functional courses) such as course registration/enrolments, processing of training invoices and training logistic arrangement. (e.g. checking the availability of speakers and facilitators in advance, sending calendar invites and creating Teams meeting links, planning of course schedules, uploading of updated training materials hosted on SG-Teams channel and participants' materials on DCS platform and updating the programme schedules). • To support the deployment of new learning solutions and digital tools to ensure quality and effective delivery of conducted training programmes. • To support organization-wide initiatives such as ECO Office Programme and Staff Welfare Committee.
What we are looking for
Job Requirements: • 1-2 years of working experience in data management and training management support • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills • Good written and verbal skills • Adept in technology • Meticulous with an eye for detail • Good interpersonal communication skills • Able to work independently, collaboratively and under tight deadlines • Able to work in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and internal stakeholders at the same time • Candidates are required to be physically fit to assist in carrying of paraphernalia for training at external training site and re-arrangements of furniture in room layout prior to training • As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
