Job Purpose

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy research think-tank in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

IPS is looking to hire, on a two-year contract, an Executive for its Events and Administration team. This close-knit and dedicated team is responsible for running all IPS events, which serve as a platform to communicate research findings to the broader public in Singapore.



- To coordinate, administer and manage conferences and other events under the Institute\'s outlook. The Executive will handle all logistical aspects of event organising, including engaging vendors, liaising with speakers, booking hotels, arranging for participant registration, communicating with the media, preparing conference kits, and taking charge of duties of event secretariats.
- To maintain the Institute\'s database used in the invitation of participants for events.
- To assist in other administrative duties, as assigned

Qualifications

- Have at least a Bachelors degree, preferably majoring in Business Administration
- Preferably with two years\' working experience or has experience in event organisation. Fresh graduates with a keen interest in event organising may also apply.
- Be motivated, able to work under pressure and possess good interpersonal skills
- Have a strong command of both written and spoken English
- Be methodical, organised and a good team player
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, preferably with a very good working knowledge in MS Access
