Job Purpose

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy research think-tank in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

IPS is looking to hire, on a two-year contract, an Executive for its Finance team. The Executive will be responsible for providing support in Grant management, research administrative, finance and general administrative support.



1. Manage and handle research grants from pre-award costing support to post-award administration, including procurement, finance duties and audit certifications etc
2. Collate information on awarded grants, research outputs and spending, including data collection and data storage
3. Manage research projects\' claims and budgets control
4. Manage internal IPS DERC applications between requestors and approvers.
5. Manage Projects\' cash advances and vouchers management
6. Process travel/staff claims via CONCUR System
7. Provide administrative, logistics support and any ad-hoc duties assigned

Qualifications

1. Hold a Bachelor\'s degree, preferably with 2 years of working experience in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance.
2. Preferably possess prior experience in Grant Management
3. Has a good command of English (written and spoken)
4. Competent in MS Office particularly Excel and Word
5. Meticulous with an eye for details
6. A good team player with excellent communication skills
7. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines with attention to detail
8. Good communication and writing skills
9. Experience with Sesami/Ariba, CONCUR and/or new SAP S/4HANA systems will be an advantage
