What the role is:NEA is the lead agency for planning for after-death facilities and services in Singapore. The Memorial Facilities and Planning Division oversees the planning and provision of these facilities. As a member of MFPD, you will be responsible for leading the planning and launch of new after-death facilities, and maintaining oversight of the development process. This includes projecting the after-death facility requirements and other after-death trade demands as our demographics change over time.This role requires close collaboration and consultation with other Agencies and multiple stakeholders, to ensure timely and sustainable provision of such facilities. It is also a supervisory role. The candidate must have a good eye for detail and be willing to take on finance and procurement responsibilities.What you will be working on:You will be responsible for the following:Supervise staff and guide their planning and development workLead the planning, project management, and development of after-death facilitiesManage launch of upcoming after-death facilitiesFormulate policy and operational strategies to manage disamenities arising from after-death facilities and associated tradesReview and develop relevant policies and regulations related to after-death servicesPerform other duties as required under work exigenciesWhat we are looking for:Requirements:At least 5 years of experience in development or construction project management or land-use planning.At least 3 years of experience in supervisory rolesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailWilling to take on finance and procurement responsibilitiesThrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvementGood interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholdersApplicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.About National Environment Agency:The National Environment Agency (NEA) is the leading public organisation responsible for ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for Singapore.
