Job Description
What the role is:
This role supports the smooth operations of the team in the team\'s delivery towards NLB\'s comprehensive collection and contributes to NLB\'s strategic thrusts of Delivering Rich SG Content and Delivering Effective Services.
What you will be working on:
- Monitor daily influx of materials to be received, processed and delivered
- Manage and deploy resources to meet daily targets and service standards
- Supervise vendor in the inventorization of library materials
- Supervise and train staff to ensure smooth workflow, resolve processing issues and meet targets
- Conduct control checks to ensure processing standards are met and according to guidelines
- Ensure items are received, processed and handled in compliance with requirements by internal clients and service standards, especially for rare and special collections
- Report and follow-up on system-related issues, and liaise with System Team to resolve issues
- Collation of statistics and KPIs by staff and vendors
- Prepare tracking reports required by customers
- Review requirements of equipment for processing and operations and plan, source and purchase equipment required for day to day operations.
- Plan and monitor department budget.
- Preferably with relevant experience in warehouse and/or logistics, and administration.
- Independent, self-motivated and a good team player
- Meticulous and patient
- Driven to improve productivity and overcome challenges.

The successful applicant will first be appointed on a 2-year contract basis.
