Provide back-up support to the team to ensure that all duties are fully covered.
Manages, oversees, and performs supervisory tasks to direct and control activities performed to effectively manage the end to end Ocean Freight processes
Manage customers\xe2\x80\x99 complaints and escalation, troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.
Take appropriate corrective actions with the relevant parties (internally/externally) to prevent re-occurrence of customer complaints.
Build and maintain relationship with customers to fulfil requirements and upkeep customers KPIs.
Continually seeking new ways to improve work processes and efficiently meeting team KPI.
Generate KPI report \xe2\x80\x93 provide monthly performance data (transit time, urgent shipment and damage report, billing, etc).
Develop or work closely with list of key vendors and form strategic alliance to manage cost efficiencies and operational deliverables.
Ensure all documentation processes meet customer standard and adhered to operational procedures.
Ensure all shipping processes are closed off timely i.e. from receiving of request, invoicing, etc.
Ensure all freight rates are accurate and updated in the system.
Assist in data analysis for management review.
Carrier management (includes operation escalations, rectifying invoice disputes, etc.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
5 years in Freight Forwarding Industry
Experience in handling cross trade, shipments, DG cargoes and Certificate of Origin will be an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of the Logistics or Freight Forwarding industry, particularly in freight.
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Good communication and people skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of customs declaration, Tradenet & Cargowise.
Meticulous, ability to multi-task and able to work in fast pace environment.
