We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Executive Search Partner, Wealth & Personal Banking, APAC. Principal Responsibilities HSBC’s in-house Executive Resourcing Team has recently restructured to create one global function and following significant investment is scaling internationally. The team’s mission is to open up a world of opportunity by ensuring that HSBC has access to top-performing and diverse leadership talent, enabled by a best-in-class search and talent advisory team who are globally connected, collaborative in their approach and innovative in their thinking. The team’s ambition is to be the pre-eminent in-house executive resourcing function within the global Financial Services industry by the end of 2025. Reporting to the Global Head of Executive Resourcing, Wealth & Personal Banking, this role will be a key member of the team, responsible for partnering and supporting Asia Pacific based Executives across HSBC’s Wealth & Personal Banking (WPB) organisation to deliver on their business strategy through the hiring of world-class and transformative Managing Director (MD) level talent across the region.

  • End-to-end delivery of MD hiring across WPB, across the APAC region, with a primary focus on research and insight led direct search execution and delivery, ensuring a high-touch and exceptional experience for all stakeholders
  • Future proof the WPB business through the proactive development of external and diverse talent pipelines aligned to strategic priorities
  • Focus on HSBC’s internal talent marketplace, leveraging deep knowledge of our people to drive internal mobility and opportunity
  • Support General Manager succession planning activity by proactively identifying & pipelining ‘ready now’ & future successor external talent to those roles with weak internal bench-strength, ensuring a focus on diverse talent
  • Provide an executive resourcing advisory service to WPB Exco members, enabled by deep sector knowledge and insight of both internal and external talent markets
  • Operate as part of a borderless internal Global Executive Resourcing function, partnering closely with colleagues in other regions
  • Produce reports of the highest quality and which reflect the seniority of the recipient stakeholders ((inc. shortlist reports, market mapping and research/insight)

Requirements
Requirements
  • A demonstrable track record within executive search/resourcing, including a proven ability to deliver MD level searches directly
  • Experience of partnering with Executive level stakeholders, including the ability to challenge and influence decision making effectively
  • Deep specialist Wealth Management sector knowledge (specifically Private Banking, Asset Management and/or Insurance)
  • Experience of working effectively in a global matrixed manner
  • Financial Services native – understanding of all dimensions of Financial Services and the entire resourcing lifecycle, including regulatory obligations
  • Excellent Report and presentation skills, including advanced PowerPoint and Excel
