What you will be working on:You will: \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with the various teams in the Community Mediation Unit (CMU) to conduct a service journey mapping to understand different business user needs. Work with MinLaw\'s Information Technology Department and their appointed vendors to: \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop strategic plans for information system development aligning organisational objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Gather and analyse system requirements. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that the proposed solutions meet the business needs and align with the strategic goals. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the design and architecture of CMU\'s information systems. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that system designs are scalable, secure and efficient. \xe2\x80\xa2 Review the coding and development process. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure the quality of the developed system. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct or oversee testing processes to identify and address defects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the deployment of information system into production. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with the said stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new systems. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that there is proper documentation of system development processes, design decisions and code. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify and mitigate risks associated with system development projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.What we are looking for:Key Competencies Required \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of programming languages, databases, and system. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in project management. \xe2\x80\xa2 The ability to align system development activities with overall business goals and objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to make timely and effective decisions, considering both technical and business aspects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of quality assurance and testing processes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with system development projects. Personal Traits / Work Experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant work experience in software development, system architecture and coding. \xe2\x80\xa2 In-depth knowledge of programming languages, databases and development tools. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in making decisions that balance technical considerations with business needs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in implementing and quality assurance processes and testing methodologies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with the specific industry in which the organisation operates. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with system development projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidate with more years of relevant work experience and demonstrated leadership skills may be considered for the Senior Executive role.
