Job Description

A community builder will work on developing the community by participating in discussions, recruiting new community members and customers and listening to the current ones. The role mainly covers finding new users and their needs, replying and engaging community members, crafting strategy for developing communities. Must be digital savvy, trained in social media marketing and have a strong background in community building online.

Past experience in travel, tours and lifestyle sectors will be a definite advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Be the advocacy for the travel community. Grow the strength of the community
• Conceive and create engaging content and plan, including blog pieces, articles, social media posts, newsletters, and videos, working independently or with outsourced writer/ producer
• Engage with members and respond to comments and requests
• Liaise with Club departments to stay updated on new initiatives, product and service developments that will benefit the community
• Liaise with external agents, agencies or journalists
• Analyze web traffic and relevant community metrics
• Relay community feedback to relevant internal stakeholders
• Devise and implement community awards, engagement plans, communication initiatives

• Degree in communication, journalism, marketing or related field
• Experience with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and YouTube is essential
• Passion for social media in personal life
• Knowledge of Hootsuite or similar programs to manage online postings on different platforms.
• Photography and/ videography skills will be an advantage
• Proficient in Google Analytics.
• At least two years' experience managing social media platforms
• Proficient written and verbal lingo on social media
