What the role is:The Operator Management Division (OMD) / Planning and Programme Department (PPD) under the Hawker Centres Group handles end-to-end processes, from strategic planning, programming and marketing, operations to performance review, of the new hawker centres (i.e. Socially-conscious Enterprise Hawker Centres (SEHCs)). OMD also refines and improves the management model, as well as works closely with the operators to ensure the smooth management and operations of these SEHCs.What you will be working on:The job responsibilities include the following:Formulate and review policies relating to the management of SEHCsDrive and implement initiatives relating to the management of SEHCsMonitor and analyse trends and data on findings relating to SEHCsPlan, design and manage tender projects to appoint operators for the management of SEHCsManage contract renewals and extensions of SEHCsWork with operators to implement initiatives to achieve the social objectives of hawker centresEngage government agencies, partners and stakeholders such as Grassroots Leaders, Advisers and operators, to ensure the smooth delivery of programmes and initiativesPrepare reports, submissions and presentation materials as well as present to management and stakeholdersTake on other responsibilities which may be assigned from time to timeWhat we are looking for:The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:At least 2 years of relevant working experiencePrior work experience in contracts management, public policy, or estate management would be an advantagePossesses strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving skills and project management skillsGood writing, interpersonal, presentation and verbal communication skillsAble to multi-task with demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAble to work well with data and numbersOutgoing and pleasant personalityMature, independent and resourcefulProficient in Microsoft Office Applications, in particular MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About National Environment Agency:The National Environment Agency (NEA) is the leading public organisation responsible for ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for Singapore.
