What the role is We are looking for a dynamic member to join the Exhibitions department as Experience Engineer. You will work with a team of Imagineers, Designers, and Producers to create science-based exhibitions and support projects in the Exhibitions & Galleries Division. As Experience Engineer, you will be responsible for the conversion of scientific concepts into interactive exhibits and exhibitions. You will be required to prototype, create, test and commission interactive science exhibits. You will be required to work with a team to prepare technical documents for Tender/Procurement exercises and conduct tender briefings to contractors. You will also be involved in the planning and the supervision of the fabrication of exhibits to ensure exhibits safety and risk assessment are taken into consideration while meeting project schedules. What we are looking for The ideal candidate should be passionate about science, technology and engineering. The candidate should have good technical and hands-on skills, and be familiar with Science. An eye for detail and problem solving is required. The candidate must possess the ability to express clearly and in oral and written form the technicalities of their work. Candidate should be able to work on drafts using solidworks, autodesk or rhino and be able to think in 3D. The candidate must be creative, be curious, and have a keen interest in exhibitions and project management work. You will need to be able to multi-task while working under pressure and independently. Candidates with relevant experience in the museum industry and project management are preferred. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
