Job Description


Summary :

The successful candidate will oversee the coordination of export contracts between our Singapore office and our India team and ensuring efficient contract management . He/she will also play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our trading activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the India team and other stakeholders to draft, review, and finalize export contracts ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Singapore and India teams, facilitating clear and effective communication related to export contracts and project requirements.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain accurate MIS from team members involved in the trade. Ensure timely submission and adherence to reporting protocols.
  • Prepare offers and proposals based on instructions received from traders, incorporating relevant contract terms, pricing, and other essential details.
  • Ensure that all contractual agreements and related documentation are properly recorded, organized, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Regularly review ongoing contracts, identify potential issues, and work with the appropriate teams to address any necessary amendments or modifications.
  • Proactively identify and assess potential risks associated with contract execution and compliance and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct KYC/Sanction search and in-depth assessment for all existing and prospective Indian counterparties.
  • Work closely with Internal teams on all credit-related issues, including deal structuring to control credit risk while enabling business with Indian counterparties.
  • Monitor and review Indian market trends/ movements for physical and derivative trades and counterparties\xe2\x80\x99 exposure.
  • Guide and support business lines/ credit documentation/ trade execution and project teams on credit and risk-related issues.
  • Manage the negotiation of trade credit insurance matters with external insurance agencies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly credit exposure and other necessary risk reports for senior management.
  • Recommend and implement improvements and enhancements of controls, processes, and systems to enhance the management of risks within the company.
  • Monitor and track global / industry credit events affecting our businesses.
  • Manage any ad-hoc projects when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting finance, business, economics, or another quantitative-related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience or interest in contracts, exports, credit Analysis, credit Risk, or a related field.
  • Strong technical and quantitative skills.
  • Self-starter with a keen eye for detail and good communication skills.
