Lead, train, and motivate the export operations team to achieve performance and service targets.
Oversee daily operations -- booking confirmation, SI/VGM submission, BL and manifest checking, and documentation accuracy.
Manage communication with shipping lines, customers, and overseas agents to resolve issues, delays, or disputes promptly and professionally.
Monitor team workflow and allocate resources effectively to ensure on-time cargo delivery and smooth documentation flow.
Implement standard operating procedures (SOP) and ensure compliance with carrier, customs, and internal requirements.
Review export files, billing accuracy, and cost control to maintain operational efficiency.
Report to management on team performance, service issues, and improvement opportunities.
Handle escalations and make decisions independently to maintain service standards and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in export operations within a shipping line, freight forwarder, or logistics company, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of export shipping procedures, documentation, and port operations.
Good understanding of international trade regulations and Incoterms.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics/shipping systems.
