:THE ROLE: Facilities Assistant/Facilities OfficerKaplan Singapore is seeking a proactive and dynamic Facilities Assistant/Facilities Officer to join our Facilities and Operations team. Your responsibilities include ensuring the efficient functioning of campus facilities, troubleshoot AV equipment, and conduct routine inspections to maintain impeccable cleanliness and safety standards. You will also liaise with diverse stakeholders, supporting academic operations, and leading facilities personnel.Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Facilities and Maintenance Works
  • Monitor and recommend replacement/improvement to equipment, facilities and services before the end of their life span. These include projectors and the bulbs, Av equipment and any teaching tools.
  • Trouble-shooting and able to rectify AV and audio equipment in the classrooms before class/workshop started, if unable to resolve by Facilities Officers.
  • Conduct daily check on grounds to ensure that the classrooms general areas are cleaned and equipment well maintained.
  • Conduct or assigned a senior staff, for inspection with the term contractors like cleaning, landscape, pest control and fire protection system checks, to ensure that the services are carried out and maintained to the standard set by Management and/or the authorities.
  • Oversee the carrying out of any fitting-out works in the campus.
  • Assist in Feedback Channels and Customer Services
  • Receive and attend to feedback from lecturers, customers and students, and keep proper records of complaints, feedback and attention taken to resolve the problems.
  • Assist in Administration and Management:
  • To liaise with Building landlord, auditors and relevant government authorities on matters pertaining to Kaplan Singapore.
  • To liaise with local authorities on matters relating to the maintenance and repairs of the subject property, including the Building Management Unit.
  • To build an efficient and effective Operations and Facilities Team.
  • To give full support to Academic operations and its requirements.
  • To establish good vendor management so as to provide quality service for Kaplan.
  • To manage and maintain good security measures for campus premises/offices.
  • To supervise the facilities personnel and to ensure that their duties and responsibilities are carried out properly and efficiently.
  • Liaison with all relevant Academic departments for any request on classrooms setting up and establishing proper procedure and process.
  • Oversee the Ops task duties of the Facilities personnel and check all ground works to ensure it is carried out diligently.
Requirements:
  • Candidates with technical competencies in AV Systems/Aircon/Electrical/Electronic/Fire Protection/Plumbing will be highly preferred
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office will be desirable
Qualifications:
  • Candidates should possess a NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering/Facilities/Property Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in facilities operations will be advantageous
  • Fresh graduates with relevant work attachment experience are welcome to apply
Other Information:
  • Working Hours (Shift work):
  • Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, 1:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Saturdays/Sundays (Alternate): 8:00am to 12:00pm
  • Work Arrangements: On-Site
  • Location: Singapore (Central Area: Dhoby Ghaut MRT/Little India MRT/Rochor MRT)
