RE About The Role OVERVIEW General upkeep involving safety, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing structures, furnishings, landscaping, plumbing, facilities-related equipment, floor covering, and related systems of the Association. RESPONSIBILITIES . Coordinate and provide daily support on facilities management. . Source, manage and supervise vendors and contractors for repairs and redecoration, renovation, preventive and corrective maintenance works, and additional and alteration works, to ensure that all works are carried out safely, in compliance with statutory requirements, and completed within specified time frames and budgets. . Prepare a yearly preventive maintenance schedule at the start of each year and ensure that all essential equipment including lifts, fire protection system and pumps are featured in that schedule. . Conduct periodic inspection of the Centre facilities to determine condition and where major repair works are required, to make appropriate recommendations to supervisors. . Ensure regulatorily, quality, and safety standards relating to facilities maintenance are observed. . Assist to ensure compliance with organisation and statutory health and safety standards and make recommendations on priorities and actions for improvement. . Act as a Fire Safety Manager and Environmental Control for the organisation. . Participate in budgeting exercises in relation to facilities maintenance and upgrading projects. Candidate Requirements Technical Competencies: . Sound technical knowledge and skills in Building and Mechanical and Electrical services. . Good experience in managing projects, improvement, repair, and maintenance work. . Possess impartiality, integrity, and transparency in handling all works, especially procurement. Core Competencies: . Depending on work exigencies, wiliness to work beyond office hours and weekends. . Willingness to be contactable and on standby 24 hours daily for any emergencies. . Possess the ability to work well in a dynamic environment. . Able to work in a team as well as independently. Preferred achievements / characteristics: . Proficient in MS Office applications. .
