Finance & Hr Manager (retail/ Direct Selling Industry/orchard)

Job Description


The incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, quickly become familiar with Company’s operations, accounting software and procedures, and handle confidential information. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Report to General Manager based in Singapore and CFO in U.S
  • Record and manage daily sales, cash receipts and other bank transactions.
  • Reconcile and manage accounts including bank statements, inventory, and accounts payable.
  • Perform and manage month-end close procedures.
  • Prepare and review journal entries into accounting software.
  • Review and approve weekly payments.
  • Assist with various projects including budgeting, inventory counts, and others as assigned.
  • Review and approve weekly commission payments.
  • Lead and supervise local accounting and finance staff.
  • Liaise with finance team in U.S for accounting matters.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packs.
  • Review and submit quarterly GST submission, and yearly corporate tax returns.
  • Prepare and submit income commission to IRAS.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and bankers.
  • Review and approve monthly payroll prepared by outsourced payroll company.
  • Prepare and submit annual industry and business survey.
  • Assist and manage the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of Company policies, procedures, and controls.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, ACCA, CPA or finance related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Knowledge and experience in using Quickbooks will be added advantage.
  • Experience in tax returns and filing requirements
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP
  • Network marketing experience will be added advantage.
  • CPA or chartered accountant certification preferred Proficient in Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel and Visio
  • Possesses strong written and oral English communication skills in order to communicate with the Corporate office in U.S
  • Ability to interact well with others in-person and over the telephone building relationships and representing the Company.
  • Ability to manage multiple direct reports.
  • Thrives in un-structured environments and has the ability to effectively manage multiple variables, systems, sets of books and competing priorities
  • Possesses a strong attention to details
