Our client is an MNC in the investment/fund mgt industry. It is backed by a renowned and global investment blue-chip firm. This co has been newly set up in 2021.For this role, you report to the Finance Director and working closely with 2 Associate Finance Directors. This role provides the candidate with the opportunity to be exposed to both financial and operational aspects of a multi-asset investment fund.Key Duties and Responsibilities 1. Accounts Payable and Operations
Verify and process payment for suppliers' invoices, travel and expense claims and corporate card transactions
Monitor and manage funds in operating accounts to fulfil weekly/ ad hoc payments
Trade processing, settlement and reconciliation, and corporate actions
Liaise with fund administrator for funding of investments, capital calls, distributions, and other fund related matters
Support the day-to-day interface with external service providers across accounting, banking, compliance, fund administration, secretarial and tax matters
Ensure controls around transaction processing are effective and adequate
2. Financial Reporting (including fund admin and dealing with external fund service providers)
Perform and review month-end closings, NAV reporting packs and reconciliations
Support the set up of accounting infrastructure for new entities, fund launches and investments, and establishing reporting requirements with key service providers
Liaise with fund administrator for management fee and carry calculations, and other fund related reporting as required
Support internal audit, external audit, budgeting as well as tax, regulatory, head office and external stakeholders' reporting and filings
Assist in providing any financial information and analysis requested by the business
3. Efficiency enhancements, automation and ad hoc projects
Proactively identify opportunities to simplify end-to-end processes and drive efficiency, while maintaining strong compliance and controls
Support the implementation and/or improvement of finance processes and controls, including system automation projects
Assist in other ad hoc assignments
