Overview: This role will assist the Senior Finance Manager / Associate Director in providing direct support to the Client Servicing Unit (CSU) and Line of Business (LOB) Heads, LOB Leads, Delivery Leads and Center Managers in project governance (in terms of sales registration, project code structure creation, project exceptions monitoring, project processes and systems) and project financials (monitoring of project budgets, actuals, forecast, revenue recognition, accrued revenue etc and assists Watchlist (WL) and Budget Review Council (BRC) for troubled projects financial advisory).
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the project governance by enforcing conformity to sales registration and project delivery processes by all CSUs and LOBs.
  • Support business units (eg. CSU) and delivery teams (LOB) in their operations by providing advice on project delivery governance related processes, usage of project system and project monitoring reports.
  • Review customer contract termination, variation & changes requested by Business and Delivery Centers and recommend follow-up action and seek approval for Agreement cancellation or award.
  • Provide Project Exceptions report and review with LOB Heads, LOB Leads / Centre Manager (and business ops team) to advise on actions to clear the exceptions.
  • Support the CSU / LOB by providing advisory on the accounting treatment based on customer contracts.
  • Ensure that all financial aspects of project execution are on track, including but not limited to monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances in project budgets, financial updates etc.
  • Review project health status and alert if any potential risk on onerous contract and potential loss-making projects. Follow up with Project team on action items such as rectifying the project financials/budget where needed or highlight to Management, WL / BRC where necessary.
  • Provide Accrued Revenue aging report and review with LOB Heads, LOB Leads / Centre Manager on the reasons of delays in billing and highlight outstanding actions required. This is to ensure promptness in project billings to customers to improve cash flow position of the Group.
  • Prepare month end close activities, include review month end revenue and cost accruals for projects to ensure accurate project financial.
  • Handle internal and external auditors’ queries and documentation related to projects.
  • Conduct training sessions on project governance and financials for Project Managers etc.
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements in relation to project governance / financials related tasks


The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Degree in accountancy, Diploma or higher in accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Preferably in an IT MNC environment and has working experience under shared service environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Finance operations or analysis, project management, process improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel-Macro, Excel-Pivot Table, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good working knowledge of SAP software/ dashboard/ analytical tools would be an advantage.
  • Organized, detailed, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Independent and strong team player with ability to build rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate well (both written and verbal)
  • Vocal, creative in providing appropriate solutions and able to work well in dynamic environment.
  • Able to handle tight deadlines, fast work pressure and adapt well.
