We are embarking on an exciting new project to develop a user centric, finance focused data platform to support the International Consumer Business (ICB) and other global growth opportunities. The platform will assist the Finance function in the execution of its business critical control responsibilities as well as supporting business decision making with modern finance analytics and insights. The project will deliver end to end data capabilities for the Finance function and other relevant stakeholders covering data modelling, reporting, dashboarding and the development of any bespoke tooling required.

As a Finance Data Analyst at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Business, you will become a data subject matter expert (SME) across finance and business topics, helping to build data pipelines, delivering financial insights to drive forward our businesses and embedding these as self-serve capabilities within our platform where appropriate. You will be also responsible for driving forward the development of data models for new products, business lines and platform capabilities. You will collaborate closely as part of a dedicated team of engineers, data analysts and Business Intelligence (BI) analysts across both Singapore and India.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develops data pipelines to deliver commercially focused financial insights and analysis
  • Owns the design of finance data schemas, partnering closely with finance stakeholders and data engineers
  • Identifies requirements for onboarding of additional data sources into our data lake underpinning the platform
  • Supports finance in ad-hoc data analytics or deep dive analysis, working alongside data engineers and our BI analysts to develop long term solutions as appropriate
  • Partners product developers on the more complex data aspects of their feature delivery
  • Ensures appropriate documentation, controls and testing are in place to support your features at all times, working alongside our controls manager on these aspects
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, data analytics, computer science or related fields
  • Minimally 3 years\' experience in data analysis, business intelligence or data modelling
  • Numerical with a good understanding of basic finance concepts
  • Excellent SQL coding capabilities and a good practical experience in Python/R
  • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional, agile teams as well as independently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to write business requirements and drive execution of solutions
  • Self-starter and highly self-motivated
  • Attention to detail and a passion for applying best practices
