Responsibilities
Group Consolidation & ReportingPerform Group consolidation procedures
Prepare Group Monthly Management Reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Finance Business Partner to Corporate Support Function UnitsProvide pro-active finance support to the corporate functions. This includes but is not limited to the following:
Review and perform analysis of actual financial performance against budget
Perform trend analysis of financials with insightful commentaries; and
Preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecast for the corporate functions.
Finance OperationsManage daily accounting operations of a portfolio of companies
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing and statutory reporting, including the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, statement of cash flows, accounting schedules and bank reconciliations.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policy and procedures.
Review of intercompany reconciliation and ensure no discrepancies in month-end balances.
Liaise with AR and AP Shared Services team on accounting issues for period closing, collections and payments.
Coordinate and manage statutory audits, which includes preparation of financial statements as well as liaising with external auditors.
Ensure compliance of financial records with corporate and statutory requirements.
Handle tax matters which include quarterly GST filing as well as corporate tax.
Work closely with management to provide financial insight, monitor cash flows and support decision making.
Assist in developing and implementing financial processes and systems, review of policies and continual process re-engineering to achieve greater efficiency
Liaise with Group Finance, Group Treasury, Group Tax and Group Internal auditors
Support other departments with financial-related tasks as required
Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in finance or accountancy with Professional accounting certification preferred.
At least 6 years of relevant experience of which at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
Prior external audit experience will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirement
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Strong team player and able to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Confident with good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions and regions
Strong business acumen, detail-oriented and perform hands-on work
