The Company

With global presence in strategic locations and extensive network in the market, this is a dominant player within the maritime industry. Due to business expansion, there is a newly created Finance Manager, Financial Reporting role to be based in the Singapore office.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working in a team, you will work closely with commercial heads and other internal stakeholders to provide valuable insights into the financial performance of the group. The role will be responsible for preparation of financial and management reports, reconciliations, and analytics for the Group on a monthly and quarterly basis within given timelines. Review of financial statements for annual audit, lead the audit of group and individual financial statements in Singapore, address audit queries related to entities. Prepare, review audited financial statements and ensure submission and filing of annual accounts. Evaluate the impact of developments in the financial reporting, tax and regulatory regime and recommend course of action to ensure compliance. Other key areas include supporting ad-doc projects surrounding management reporting and working closely with the Group Finance Manager on group consolidation for purpose of financial reporting.

Your Profile

To qualify for this role, you must be a Chartered Accountant and have a Degree in Accountancy with ideally 8 years of relevant Big 4 experience or with financial accounting and reporting experience within the maritime industry. It is essential to have a strong understanding of accounting standards applicable to maritime industry and hands-on experience in management reporting and analytics. It will be advantageous to have prior experience in data mining skills with ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information. Strong communication and interpersonal skills is required as this role require active cross-functional dialogue with internal and external stake holders.
